Marta has performed in the opera house since she came to the valley in the 1960’s. The place was amazing The entire opera house was hand-painted by the women who brought the hotel back to life in the 1960’s, Marta Becket. For Becket, the creative life is an obstacle course of self-doubt, criticism and abandonment - a high price to pay in the pursuit of self-expression. I have seen many pictures of the opera house but, there is nothing like actually standing inside it.

It is the story of Marta dealing with her personal demons, her disapproving father, her life as a up and coming New York City artist, her escape, the way she found Amargosa and what she has done with it.
